What is hosting?
Once your website is completed the site must be placed on a web "Server" (a computer which is permanently connected to the Internet). This means that your site can be accessed anywhere around the world at any time. This server will also send and receive your email.
What is a domain name?
A domain name is essentially a signpost on the Internet. Almost every website you've ever been to, and every email you've ever composed, has used a domain name in its address. www://www.google.com is a domain name and info@google.com is its corresponding email address.
What domain name should I choose?
This depends on how you are going to use it. If you are going to be telling people over the phone, choose one that is easy to say and spell out loud. Above all, you should choose one that is memorable and not confusing. We can give you advice on this
How do I supply the words and pictures?
You probably have most of what you need already. We can work from existing websites, brochures, adverts, menus, photographs etc.
You can email us documents and images in just about any format or provide brochures and pictures which we will scan. By special arrangement we can take high quality digital pictures of your products and premises.
Will my website be listed on search engines?
Modern search engines like to find your site naturally, through links to your site from other sites. Google especially relies on your incoming links to determine your popularity and relevance. We can advise you on how to develop this aspect of your website.
